Catherine Andrea Vella is 20 years of age, born on the 1st of February 1989 in Melbourne, Australia. Catherine is half Filipino, half Maltese, with two sisters Joanne and Stephanie.

Currently undergoing a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Deakin University in Burwood, Catherine hopes to pursue a career as a dietician. She works two part-time jobs, but in her spare time loves shopping, dancing and socializing with friends.

Catherine joined Miss Philippines not only to improve her self confidence and establish new relations with the other candidates, but to also take the opportunity to embrace her Filipino culture by helping to raise funds for the Filipino-Australian community.
