Rushell Banares McDonald is only 17 years old and is already aiming to be the best to her abilities. She is striving for excellence in year 12 at Chandler Secondary College.  Rushell studies all sorts of subjects but she excels in Arts and anything creative.

Rushell was born in Olongapo City, she came out feet first! Rushell lived there with, like most Filipinos, many of her relatives until she was 4. Rushell was lucky to visit the Philippines twice last year and eat all the coconuts, Lumpia and Halo Halo! She wishes to go back and see her family again as she misses them every day.

In her free time Rushell likes to read, draw and hang with her best friends. She also likes to do some Acting as it is the best way to increase your confidence. She would like to be a Games developer as it takes her creative skills to a new level. She also has the ambition to learn Tagalog, French and Japanese Fluently and Travel all over the world.

Rushell has joined the Miss Philippines Pageant as a way to boast her confidence and join with all the other amazing Filipinos to promote and do as much as possible to help rebuild the Filipino Community centre.
